working together

One conversation to start, then a way of working that fits what you're carrying.

what I do

Coaching conversations that help people make sense of complexity, consider their options, and decide how they want to move forward.

All coaching sessions take place online via Zoom. In practice, many people find that online coaching provides a focused and consistent space for reflection that fits naturally alongside the demands of work and everyday life. Meeting online also allows people to join from a private environment of their choosing, without the time and disruption involved in travelling to appointments.

introduction

A place to think, with someone who understands how people work

When judgement has become the job, there’s rarely anything in the week set aside for exercising it. Most of your time goes on deciding, delegating, and responding, with little protected space to step back and think clearly about what’s actually happening, and what you want to do about it.

That’s what this work offers: a considered space to think, alongside someone with more than 25 years of understanding how people think, relate, decide, and change. I bring genuine psychological depth, but I keep the work firmly as coaching: practical, forward-looking, and focused on you. The aim isn’t insight for its own sake. It’s a position you can actually stand behind, and act from with clarity.

Part of what a first conversation is for is working out whether I’m the right person for what you need. If I think coaching isn’t the right thing, or that someone else would serve you better, I’ll say so. I’d rather be honest about that than take on work that isn’t a good fit, and in my experience, people can tell the difference.

There are four ways to work with me below, from a single conversation to ongoing work. They’re different levels of commitment rather than different kinds of coaching, so you can start wherever fits, and change as your needs do.

All sessions take place online via Zoom. In practice, many people find that meeting online gives them a consistent, private space to think that fits around real life, and that a coach is best chosen on fit, not on how near they happen to be.

ways of working

How we work depends on what you need a single session to think one thing through, or ongoing time to think properly over a longer period. Every option starts with a free, no-obligation discovery call, so we can work out together whether this is the right fit and which approach suits you best.

Discovery Call

Start here. A free, no-obligation conversation to talk over what you're looking for, ask anything you want to ask, and get a sense of whether working together feels right. It's also where we'd decide together which of the options below suits you best. Some people use it simply to work out whether coaching is their next step at all.

Focused Coaching Session

For one decision that needs to move: something you've been turning over for a while, a call you keep putting off making, or a situation you can't quite get outside of on your own. You'll step back, look at it properly from more than one angle, and leave with a position you can actually act from. Used on its own, or as a way to begin.
90 to 120 minutes · One-off
From £275 (self-funding), £450 (organisation-funded)

Psychologically Informed Coaching

For when the decision in front of you won't resolve in a single conversation, and the way you've always worked things out has stopped landing on this one. Ongoing space to work through what's actually shaping your judgement, so what you already know you should do becomes a process, not another attempt that doesn't hold. Well suited to growth, a restructure, or a remit that's outgrown what got you here.
90 to 120 minutes · Usually every 2 to 4 weeks
From £275 (self-funding), £450 (organisation-funded)

Thinking Space

A regular, protected time to think, for people carrying real responsibility who rarely get to step back on their own terms. Much of your time goes on responding to demands and supporting others; this is time to think openly about your own work, relationships, decisions, and direction, with the perspective of someone who understands the pressures involved.
